Arkipelag
Kammarmusikfestival
2024

The Arkipelag Chamber Music Festival 2024 was held between 4 and 10 August and offered a unique mix of classical music, folk music and jazz. The festival took place in four scenic locations, Tyresö Church, Grünewaldvillan in Saltsjöbaden, Storängssalen in Nacka and Mälarhöjden Church. Twelve prominent musicians played together in different constellations and visitors were able to experience everything from well-known chamber music works to newly written music, including works by female composers such as Germaine Tailleferre and Nadia Boulanger.

The festival was also an opportunity to experience a relaxed atmosphere where music and nature met – perfect for a concert experience combined with a walk or a swim in the sea. For those who missed this year's festival, you can take part in the program by clicking on the image below, or listen to recordings from Tyresö church under media .

The festival also focused on making chamber music accessible to all, and promoting female composers, while combining music with visual art in collaboration with the Kajsa and Olle Nyman art school. We look forward to welcoming you to next year's festival, where new musical experiences await.
